Athletics Information
Dear C.U.H.S Athletes,
On behalf of the C.U.H.S Athletic Department, I would like to welcome you all to the 2024-2025 seasons of sport. I am Mr. Borba and I am entering my 20th year at Chowchilla Union High School, and my fifth year as the Athletic Director. Over the past 20 years I have had the privilege of coaching and watching multiple Valley Championship teams. I was lucky enough to be a part of the 2015 Valley Champion Football team that advanced to the State Championship. During my time here at Chowchilla Union High School I've seen our athletic program grow each and every year, and I know this upcoming season will be another successful year.
During this time, I would like to remind all athletes that when you're a part of a CUHS Tribe Athletic Team you are representing that team, coach, athletic director and school at all times. I would like all athletes to lead by example and always “Pursue Victory with Honor.” Since you are a member of Tribe Athletics, our expectations for you are held to a higher standard, and we want you to be responsible and represent our school in the correct manor. As a student athlete, you have academic and athletic responsibilities that you have to uphold. We want you to study, go to class, go to practice and do your best to excel in all aspects of your high school career. As a C.U.H.S Tribe Athlete, you should take pride in the fact that you have the opportunity to represent our school in a first class manner.
I would like to thank all athletes for their time and dedication that they put into their individual sport and classes. I know sometimes school can be overwhelming, but know that your teachers, coaches, athletic director and administration are always here for you. I hope you all have a great 2024-2025 season of sport and school year. Roll Tribe!!!
